Welcome! I have some interesting things to share with you regarding jazz improvisation and the jazz guitar. Over the years while studying and playing jazz with my Gibson L5, I developed a system to simplify the learning of scales and modes. When I was a teenager, Dave Baker first introduced me to the Lydian Chromatic System of Jazz Improvising by George Russell. It inspired me to develop my own system which uses the tetra chord as a basis of improvisation rather than the scale. It can be used to simplify any system of tonal organization. I call it "The Lydian Tetrachord Method". Information, downloadable lessons with MP3's are available on my site. If you're ever in New Mexico look me up and check out the New Mexico Jazz scene.
